4-week Series – – Tuesdays, August 2 – August 30, 10:00-11:00am (no class August 9)
Start your Pilates journey learning the foundations of the practice. This is a slower paced class which introduces you to foundational Pilates exercises and principles, postural alignment and breathing techniques. This class is intended to build your confidence in the practice and to make you feel more at home in your body. In this class you will become familiar with mindfully moving into the exercises with the breath. Including a regular Pilates practice in your schedule once or twice a week has many physical, mental and emotional health benefits including: improved posture, better coordination and balance, increased lung capacity, improved concentration and focus, increased body awareness, stress management and injury prevention. If you are new to Pilates or wanting a gentler practice this is the perfect class.
