Happy New Year!
This past year was another challenging one for many of us. Despite all of its ups and downs, twists and turns and sometimes full stops, I am so very grateful for you showing up virtually week after week and inviting me into your homes or wherever you may have found yourself to practice together. I am equally grateful to those of you who ventured out to join me in-studio. It truly means a lot that you have chosen me to guide you along your health and wellness journey. It has helped to keep me grounded and connected to people in a time when we are required to continue to practice social distancing. I hope that you will continue to join me for weekly practice and grow our community by inviting family, friends or co-workers to join us in 2022.
There are three *virtual* class series to welcome in 2022 and help you stay committed to your practices starting with Gentle Pilates on Wednesday, January 5. I truly believe that staying committed to my mind/body practices is what helped me heal so quickly from my bicycle accident this past spring. I hope that you have equally found the physical, mental and emotional benefits of a regular practice.

Breathe Well Yoga
TIME CHANGE! - - Tuesdays, January 11-February 1, 5:00-6:00pm
Improve your breathing, improve your health. This class is breath-centered and will focus on yoga poses that help open up the spaces of the shoulders, chest and lungs. Breathing well can calm the brain, alleviate stress, anxiety, depression and other disorders leading to improved sleep, focus, memory, energy, overall health and feelings of wellness. This is an all-levels class - no previous yoga experience required. Everyone can benefit from breathing better!
This class will be offered via Zoom. A link to the class with instructions will be provided a day in advance of the class. Feel free to either e-mail or phone should you have any questions. Register by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to meeting you on your mat!
"Breathing in I calm my body. Breathing out I smile. Dwelling in the present moment, I know this is a wonderful moment.”

Setting Up for Your Home Practice
Yoga, Pilates and Meditation can be practiced anywhere! With what seems like ever changing COVID restrictions and inclement winter weather, why not practice from the comfort of your own home.
Keep it simple. Find a quiet space where you can keep your mat and other props ready for practice. To make your practice a little more comfortable you may also like to have yoga blocks, yoga strap, blankets, bolster, eye mask, etc. These can be purchased or you can be creative and improvise with items you have around the home like towels, blankets, books, neck tie, etc.
Getting ready for our first virtual class together….
If you are not already set-up on Zoom please ensure that you register in advance of our first class together by visiting https://zoom.us/ It's easy to set-up and it's free! You will receive the evening before our class an e-mail from me providing the link to the class. Please sign into the session 5-10 minutes in advance. Dress comfortably. Set your mat and other Pilates/yoga props/improvised props (blocks, strap, blankets, eye mask) up ready to practice. Please have your laptop video on and adjust your screen so that we can see each other.
Sneak Peek into what's coming...
30-Day MOVEment to Wellness Challenge 2022
With the new year upon us, you may have already set some resolutions or are still thinking about it. Maybe, like many other people, you are thinking about wellness goals - to lose a few pounds, eat better, exercise more... January is often a time when people resolve to start a new diet and sign up for a gym membership. Before too long diets are dropped and sedentary behaviours set in again. I believe every day is a new day to begin again. You don’t have to wait for another New Year to set an intention towards better health and wellness!
Let 2022 be different! Let’s set an intention together to live a happy and healthy life. Join me for the 30-day MOVEment for Wellness Challenge as we pledge to take the time for self-care on a daily basis for 30-days to build the foundation for a lifetime of wellness! It is my intention to guide you on this journey. This is not simply an exercise program - this is a chance for you to live a healthy and happy life!
Over the 30 days, we will meet virtually weekly from January 17 to February 7 for 75 minutes which includes a 1-hour class on Mondays, 8:00-9:00am or 5:00-6:00pm (time to be determined based on subscriber interest) followed by 15 minutes for questions/comments.
Are you in? Please let me know and which time you prefer by e-mail by no later than Sunday, January 9.
“Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live.”

30-Day Meditation Challenge 2022
Meditation may not always be easy, yet it has too many benefits not to do it. It positively affects your health, relationships and tasks. If you think you don’t have the time to meditate, would you change your mind if you knew that for every minute you meditate you can gain back 9 minutes of your day? More importantly, by meditating regularly, you will experience greater happiness and improve the quality of your life experiences!!
This 30-day meditation challenge and the 4 weekly classes it includes will help you establish and maintain a consistent meditation practice that can continue even after the challenge is over. Whether you are new to meditation, had a practice and have fallen off your seat or are a regular practitioner, coming together in a group for meditation can feel very powerful and supportive.
Over the 30 days, we will meet virtually weekly from March 7 to March 28 for a 1-hour class on Mondays, 7:00-8:00pm - Cost: $80
